Cameron grew up playing minor hockey for the Comox Valley Chiefs competing in the AAA Pee Wee Provincial Finals. At 16 years old he played for the Powell River Paper Kings of the BCJHL.  During his 3 years in Powell River, the Paper Kings won 2 coastal division championships and  competed in 2 BCJHL finals and he was an assistant captain in his final year. Cameron represented Team British Columbia Under 16 at the Canada Winter Games in P.E.I..  He then moved to Duncan to captain the Cowichan Capitals of the BCJHL where the first year team won the coastal division and competed in the BCJHL league finals. Individually he won the team MVP and scholar athlete awards.  

 

Following his time in the BCJHL, Cameron was recruited by St. Norbert College in Green Bay, Wisconsin to play in the NCAA. He played four years completing his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and competing at a national level.  After graduating from college Cam went on to play minor professional hockey for the Dayton Bombers (ECHL) and the Central Texas Stampede (WCHL).  

 

Following a brief professional career Cam returned home and played for the Powell River Regals and competed in the Allen Cup (Senior Men's National Championship).  His love of hockey and adventure took Cam to Tokyo, Japan to play for the Tokyo Canadians Hockey Club where the team competed in tournaments in Korea, Thailand, Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia.  Now back in the Comox Valley, Cam has been an assistant coach for the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and volunteers his time to the Novice Division. Cam has completed his Div 1 and Hybrid Hockey Canada Courses and is a Hockey Canada Skill Development Certified Coach. He is excited to work with young athletes to help improve their skills as well as their work ethic and attitude while developing a lifelong love and passion for the game of hockey.
